I am fortunate to live in a country where people are willing to fight for our freedom.  May we always remember the people who sacrificed their lives.  I'm blessed to live in Mancos where there is no crime, great schools, fresh air, and no traffic!  I am thankful that I am able to raise my children here.   I will be enjoying the weekend in the mountains with the kiddos: hiking, sitting around the campfire, and star gazing.  Live today like it's your last so be sure to tell the people around you that you love them!!

Summer is here, school is out and families are moving.

 I have been fortunate to help several first time home buyers buy homes here in the Mancos Valley.  What a wonderful experience!!  Mancos has been such a great place for me and  my 3 kids. I'm happy to share it.

Being a single parent of three: 19, 17 and 13 definitely has it's challenges but is full of smiles too.  I've recently been taking a car load of boys to the rec center in Cortez so they can play basketball while I get in some exercise too.  My daughter finished her 1st year in college and is now in Costa Rica on a mission trip helping with tutoring.  I just wished I could have squished into the suitcase.

For the month of May we have gotten oven 3 inches of rain and weather has been cool.  Jackson Lake is now 70% full and hasn't been that full in years!  Farmers are happy.  With all this rain, the grass is green and growing high.

Christmas in Mancos

The Christmas spirit is in full swing in Mancos, Colorado.  Lots of fun this week starting off with the Luminaria's of Mesa Verde National Park on Thursday 4-8pm.  Free admission to go see the ruins lit up. You can also walk down to Spruce Tree House.  If you have never gone, this is a must.   On Friday night at 6pm, Santa arrives in Mancos, there's a 1 mile Rudolph Run/Walk, and free movies for the kids. Stop by my office to warm your hands by my firolito.  Saturday night at 6pm, I am hosting a Wine & Cheese Christmas Party for the Mancos Historical Society.  Come check out my renovated 1893 office building.  Looking  forward to seeing everyone.

Newcomer to Mancos!

Living in a small town in the shadow of Mesa Verde National Park, I meet all kinds of people.  Whether it's sharing a cup of coffee with a local or visitor, I cherish each encounter.  Recently, met a gal moving from Telluride to Mancos. She is a clothing designer, Rahmenn & Co. and has rented office space from me. What a treat to now be wearing her clothing.  It's made out of bamboo and I have a hard time taking it off, since it's so comfy. God continues to put great people into my life just at the right time.  Nice to have made a new friend.   Stop by my office to check out her clothing.

Teamwork

What a blessing to be able to go to my son's games.  Basketball is one of my favorites.   I love seeing the boys smile when they make a basket.   The joys of childhood-no worries and  the comfort of knowing that your loved.   Teamwork happens just not in sports.  On the job and especially at home if everyone gives 110% it makes for a happy environment.
